I rarely find career articles extremely funny, but this one yesterday definitely got me laughing. I have definitely never thought of Times New Roman as being sloppy and unkempt, but this author thinks it’s the equivalent of wearing sweatpants to an interview! The best thing to do when it comes to choosing layouts and fonts is to match your resume to the industry to which you are applying. Looking at investment banking and consulting? Then go with the old tried and true conservative font of Times New Roman. However, if you are applying to an ad agency or a graphic design firm, then go with Didot font as the author suggests. No matter what though. . .no wing dings!
