Well. . .I finally started breaking into my pile and this article resonated with me. The title is a bit of a misnomer – the article is really more about what makes people feel motivated in their jobs. It turns out, forcing employees to embrace a culture has rather negative consequences. Similarly, having no policies around culture in place also seems to lead to a negative cultural impact. However, moderate policies along with a significant amount of autonomy to perform your own job seems to be the magic formula.
